Reading and Writing:
This week our focus has been on punctuation and reading fluency. We have been learning about different punctuation marks, why authors use them and how they help the reader. We have then transferred this knowledge to writing and have been experimenting with using punctuation to write different types of sentences.
This week we read the story ‘One is a Snail, Ten is a Crab’, a book about counting feet. We used the characters from the book to create our own addition problems!
We also continued our focus on statistics by conducting an investigation, making a prediction, collecting data and then analysing the results.
In CBL we made our green screen video which you can watch in the previous post!
This week we also participated in the ‘Count Us In’ singalong which occurred at 12:30pm Thursday, nationwide!!
We ended this busy week by practising our spelling words, numbers and handwriting in the sun!
Hope you have a great weekend! See you on Wednesday!
